Solar Water Heaters

Using solar energy is the revolutionary way to cut down on electricity bills. It is a clean, renewable energy source used in place of traditional water heating systems. It decreases heating expenses and reduces harmful emissions to the environment. Solar Water Heaters use solar collectors consisting of evacuated tube technology to produce solar hot water for commercial and residential customers. It is also this solar powered hot water that drives the absorption cycle.

Take the Stiebel Eltron Solar Water Heaters - SB/SBB series, for instance. These solar water heaters are indirectly fired and are equipped with either one or two large heat exchangers. The heat exchangers are heavy gauge steel with porcelain enamel coating. The models with a single heat exchanger can be used for solar applications with some form of external backup heater. On the models with dual heat exchangers, the upper coil is typically connected to a space heating boiler fired by any fuel and the lower coil is connected to the solar panels. These heaters can be used for a variety of applications like space heating and swimming pool heating.

These highly efficient heaters come equipped with features like durable corrosion resistant aluminum frame, copper absorber with copper fluid tubes, low iron tempered solar glass and a full compliment of custom mounting hardware. Browse through more Solar Water Heaters at the Heater Store.
